This is a self-catering apartment, providing you with the flexibility to prepare your own meals and enjoy the space at your own pace. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, and utensils to meet all your needs. While we don’t provide daily housekeeping or meals, we’ve ensured the apartment is stocked with essentials to make your stay comfortable and convenient.

We will do our best to accommodate you, but can make no promises regarding early access unless we have guaranteed it with an additional charge. (Please inquire if you would like a quote for guaranteed early check-in.)
If you have requested early check-in, the primary contact in your group will receive a text after 8pm the evening before arrival. This text will advise you what time we are able to accommodate you.
Note that early check-in is rarely available during our peak seasons and around holidays. Please set your expectations accordingly.
In the event that you will arrive in Umhlanga before the apartment will be ready for you, we offer two services:

When you arrive, you would need to park on the street first and enter the apartment to retrieve the remote in order to access the free basement parking allocated to you. Once you have the remote, enter the gates located on Solstice Road (opposite Homebase) and proceed to park in parking bays 13 or 1.

The apartment is equipped with a Smart Lock and thus no keys are required.
You will receive an access code (usually 4 digits).
When reaching the door, simply press on the keypad to activate it and input your access code followed by #.

When the bin gets full you can empty it in the green bins found in the basement.
NB: Please do not leave bin bags in the hallway. In doing so, you will be liable for a fine of R1000.
Hanging of clothes on the balcony is not permitted. We have a clothing rack for you to place within the apartment.

If something is not right when you arrive or any issues arise during your stay, please inform us promptly so we can rectify the problem. We also ask that you inform us of any accidents or damage that occurs so we can act promptly to ensure the home is in good condition for the next guests.
Similarly, if there is anything you need during your stay to make you more comfortable, or if you need a piece of kitchen equipment that you can’t find, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you. We can’t make any promises, but we will do our best.
In the case of any water interruptions we will provide you with 20L of water per day.
Just a friendly reminder to read our House Rules again. Some people forget to do so. This covers topics such as the rules for early check-in, late check-out, smoking, pets, guests, and much more.
We want to make sure you have all the information you need upfront and answer all your questions ahead of time. We have hosted many stays, and we have seen it all from the good to the bad to the ugly, so please don’t feel intimidated or overwhelmed. This is a great way to protect our home and make sure it stays in great condition for future Guests to come 🙂
This is a non-smoking property. This includes vapes/e-cigarettes. Breaking this rule will result in a R3000 fine and potentially the additional cost that is incurred by losing the next guest’s reservation because we cannot eliminate the odor in time for the next booking.
Please note that quiet hours are from 10 PM – 7 AM.
There will be a fine of R500 for each time a security or guard has to come out to remind you to keep the noise down due to disturbances.
Accepting a booking request or sending a pre-approval doesn’t override our house rules or booking requirements.
Daily housekeeping is not included in your stay. Our Accommodation is based on a courteous guest (e.g. someone who cleans up after themselves, leaves the place similar to how they found it, etc.) and allows us to keep prices low. If our housekeeping crew discovers an UNREASONABLE mess post-checkout, we will charge an additional fee of R400 on top of any additional fees incurred by extra time for housekeeping, delays for the next guest, etc. Trash left outside in the hallway results in a R1000 fine per bag.
If you do require housekeeping please let us know we can offer this at an additional fee. This apartment is a self-catering apartment and this service is subject to availability.
As much as we would love to be able to accommodate early check-ins and late checkouts, our properties typically run at full occupancy, and our cleaning team needs all the time between guests to work their magic.
Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out is 10 am. An accepted request to book does not mean your early check-in time was approved. Please send a message the morning of your check-in and we will let you know if we can accommodate an early check-in or late checkout at the end of your stay!
This is an additional charge determined by us that must be paid prior to your check-in (for early check-in) and prior to your checkout (for late checkout). If you stay past your 10 am check-out time without approval, you will automatically be charged for that listing’s base nightly rate without discounts. This can get pricey, so please be courteous to our housekeeping and their team.
All guests must be listed on the reservation and approved. Bringing in non-declared guests will incur a per guest, per day, cost of R1000 each (per day)
We do not allow guests to order mail/packages to this location for privacy reasons. If you attempt to have something delivered to this address, it will be rejected and we are not held responsible for its whereabouts.
The complex enforces a strict no-parties/noise violation policy for all its residents. This includes all Airbnb guests as well. If you throw a party, trash the space, damage the unit, disrespect the property or have a gathering with extra guests that are not reported in your initial booking, you are breaking the rules and will be fined R2000 as well as immediate termination of the reservation and removal from the property without refund.

If you have requested a later check-out time, please read this section carefully.
Depending on the cleaning schedule and availability, we do offer late checkout options but you will need to send us a message asking for approval.
If you do NOT send us a message and/or we do NOT approve a late checkout and we are forced to bill you for an unauthorized late checkout, the fee will be the base nightly rate (no discounts).
We offer full-service rentals and take responsibility to fully clean between guests. You do not need to take the trash out, strip your beds, launder linens, or wash the last set of dishes.
How clean are you expected to leave the home? A good rule of thumb is to just tidy up a bit.
While you are not expected to do a thorough cleaning, please be reasonable. Rinse your dishes and cookware and place in the sink. Do not leave filthy dishes or garbage strewn about. Clean up after major messes, spills and accidents or bring them to our attention.

If you have leftover food or grocery items, you may leave them behind for the housekeeping crew to keep, discard, or in the case of unopened non-perishables, leave for subsequent guests.
Please triple check the home before departing to ensure you have not left anything behind. Common items left behind include phone chargers, computer cords, passports/licenses, clothes, electronics, eyeglasses, toiletries/makeup, documents, and toys.
If you have left something behind, we can courier it back to you or may collect it at a later date.
